Today at the Olympics - keep an eye out for Pal Joensen competing in the 200 metre freestyle heats (and hopefully final).
As well as modeling a mighty fine physique, Pal hails from Suðuroy, the most southerly of the 18-islands that make up the Faroe Islands, and trains in the four-lane, 25 metre pool of his hometown Vagur.
As this teeny nation, located 300km north of Scotland, exists under the sovereignty of the Kingdon of Denmark, Pal will be plowing through the water under the Danish flag.
