Designs on Denmark

Snippets of Danish design, architecture, culture, fashion and food as spotted by Cathy Strongman, a Copenhagen-based British journalist.

KPMG Headquarters, Frederiksberg, by 3XN Architects. Shaped like a clover leaf with an irregularly angled facade to help control solar gain and a giant internal central atrium to break up the bulk of the building and make it easier to navigate.

Perhaps the most original feature is the collection of contemporary art work including dot mosaics by Copenhagen-based Tal R in the lecture hall and the huge photographic screens in the underground carpark, designed to give employees a cheery start to the day.
